My Dad was an RAF veteran. When I lost him unexpectedly in 2019, my world turned on its axis. Dad had a wicked sense of humour and we were always very close. He taught me to drive, he gave me my love of the C-130 Hercules and despite him and mum divorcing when I was 5, there was never any bad blood between them and I saw Dad often. We shared a love of airshows and the RAF concert tour, and went to many of them together. I miss my Dad but he is with me every day.
