My father was my personal hero. He was incredibly proud to have served his country and almost as proud to be a member of such an exclusive Club. Like many others of his generation, he was reluctant to speak of his wartime experiences in Coastal Command, but appreciated the camaraderie and support from the Club - particularly the annual Lost Weekend.
