‘Uncle Jack’ - MIA, June 26th, 1943. Flying XV Squadron Stirling BK699.
A Rhondda coal miner who bravely volunteered to do his duty. Fondly & proudly remembered by his family, his memory lives on in us.
Also his crew mates; Maurice Chapman, Robert Pavely, Allen Smith, Arthur Woodward, Terence Warbey; lost forever & remembered at the Runnymede Memorial and Donald Campbell buried in Harlingen close to the Waddenzee where their plane was lost.
