Special thoughts & love to Trevor, pilot of a Lancaster bomber, 207 Squadron, who was shot down & killed over Serifontaine, and his crew. Some of my family travelled to Serifontaine in 2013 to attend the wonderful celebration at the cenotaph. This is held to celebrate the liberation of France by all troops. The people of the town gave us the most wonderful welcome, which resulted in the newspaper write up below. They treated us like royalty.
