Herbert ‘Fred’ Spendiff

‘Fred’ passed away on the 9/5/24 aged 88. He loved his time in the RAF and told many stories of his time there, he was proud to wear his blazer and cap to airshows. He kept in touch with his old RAF colleagues, although sadly they have now all passed. Fred was stationed at Biggin Hill as a fire fighter, where he spent many a night waiting for aircraft to come home. He was much loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.
